What are the differences between a Screen Room, Vinyl Glass Room, or Glass Room?

More and more people are adding screen rooms and sun rooms because they enjoy outdoor living.  A common question of those in the market for a room tend to ask what kind of room is right for me and what are the differences?  In the blog today, I will discuss the difference between the three options -screen, vinyl glass, and a glass room.  Although, most people already know the difference between a screen room and a glass room many have never heard of vinyl glass.  I

Screen rooms are generally speaking, the most affordable of all the room options.  The screen allows for the breeze to come in to your porch area while protecting you from bugs and the harmful rays of direct sunlight.  It is a great place for outdoor furniture and plants.

A glass room allows for the same protection as the screen room but offers the ability to insulate the area, heat/cool the space, protect valuable furniture, and in essence makes it a habitable living space.  Many of our customers use their sunrooms for dining areas or family rooms, essentially utilizing it as an extension of their home.  Our customers use their sunrooms for different reasons but mostly to entertain friends and family or escape after a busy day.

Our last option is very popular, especially if you already have a screen room since the window panels are custom fit to the existing screen openings.   Although many people are not familiar with PGT's Eze-Breeze (vinyl glass) sliding panels they are excited about them because they are weather resistant, shatterproof, and very affordable.  The vinyl glass room allows for an outdoor living area and the screen porch feel, while providing protection from the elements with lightweight, easy-to-operate vinyl-glazed panels.
